High cube containers
Extra internal height when standard-height storage is too tight. Confirm both the length and the high-cube specification; high cube describes height, not length.
When the extra height helps
Tall equipment, shelving and stacked lightweight goods can make the extra headroom useful. Compare the door opening with your tallest item as well as the internal ceiling height: they are different measurements.
A typical high cube is about 305mm taller externally than a standard unit. Dimensions vary by manufacturer and modifications, so use the specific unit's measurements for your plan.
Include height in the access check
A taller container changes the transport clearance requirement. Photograph overhanging branches, services and rooflines without approaching overhead wires, and let the transporter assess the route.
Ask for availability and a delivered quote in your preferred length and condition. Added storage volume does not by itself confirm permission to site, modify or occupy a container.
