Useful space for everyday storage
General purpose containers suit many household, trade and business storage jobs. They are not temperature-controlled rooms. Think about ventilation, condensation and the sensitivity of the contents as well as keeping rain out.
Standard 20ft and 40ft units share a similar width and height. The longer option gives more floor area, but it also changes delivery access and the distance to items at the back.
What to ask for in the quote
Specify the size, new or used condition, delivery address and contents. Ask for actual-unit photos, door and floor condition, any repairs and whether the quoted grade is appropriate for your storage use.
Transport certification for international shipping is a separate question from domestic storage suitability. If you intend to ship cargo, explain the route and certification requirements before purchase.
A note on as-is. As-is containers are not sold as wind and watertight. They may need repairs and are unsuitable for contents that must stay dry unless those repairs are assessed and completed.
